Experience

Ellen joined Hooker & Holcombe, Inc. in 2002. She has ten years of experience in the pension area. She consults with clients on a wide range of projects. She deals with qualified & nonqualified defined benefit plans as well as postretirement welfare plans. Her clients include both corporate and public sector clients. She does pension valuation work, performs benefit calculations, cost estimates and reporting for FASB and GASB. Ellen is also involved with plan studies and plan design work.

Ellen has a wide background in all aspects of actuarial issues including complex testing required by the nondiscrimination rules for pension plans. In addition, she has worked with multiple clients to produce deterministic forecasts and cash flow projections. Ellen's communication skills allow her to deliver effective and proactive consulting to her clients.

Education

Ellen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Boston College.
