Rodger is Chief Investment Officer of Hooker & Holcombe Investment Advisors, Inc. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and heads the HHIA team of professionals who furnish advisory services to clients. Rodger provides institutional clients with investment consulting services, asset management services, asset allocation studies and investment evaluations.
Experience
Rodger joined Hooker & Holcombe Investment Advisors, Inc. in
2005 as Chief Investment Officer. He has added to
the existing investment capabilities through his institutional
money management experience and has brought an increased sophistication
to the fund selection and monitoring process. Prior to joining
HHIA, Rodger was with Hartford Investment Management Company, a
subsidiary of Hartford Financial Services Corporation (HIG). He
was a Vice President and Equity Portfolio Manager with the Equity
Investment Group where his responsibilities included:
- Large and Midcap Value Equity Portfolio Manager with $750 million in assets under management
- Liaison to the Hartford Mutual Fund Board of Directors with $50 billion in assets under management
- Portfolio Manager for Hartford Fire Retirement Plan with over $1 billion in assets
- Equity Index Fund Portfolio Manager with over $3.5 billion in assets under management
Education
Rodger earned a BA in Economics from St. Lawrence University and
an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of
Hartford. Rodger earned his Charter from the CFA Institute in
1994.

Art Meizner is Director of Investment Consulting Services at Hooker & Holcombe Investment Advisors, Inc. He provides investment consulting and asset management services to institutional clients, high net-worth individuals and business owners.
He works closely with each client to identify and set goals and objectives, develop custom strategies, and implement specific plans. As part of the process he monitors and reviews investment results, and recommends strategic and tactical adjustments as needed. More than two decades of providing investment and financial advice has allowed him to develop and refine his systematic consulting approach to fulfill the needs of each specific client.
Experience
Prior to joining HHIA in 2005 Art was with Merrill Lynch, the Frank Russell Company,
and Advest, where he held investment advisory and management positions. He
has lectured, authored and conducted investment seminars in more than 20 states
throughout the United States on topics including: reducing portfolio risk, investing
in uncertain times and diversification using multi-asset, multi-style and multi-manager
methodology.
Education
Art earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University at Buffalo and a
Master of Science from Syracuse University.
He holds the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), both of which are globally recognized for setting the standards for measuring the competency, ethics and integrity of professionals in the investment and financial services industries. He is one of a select group of professionals in Connecticut to hold both designations.
In addition to his CFA and CFP® designations, Art has his Series 7, 8, 24, 63, and 65, and holds a Connecticut Life and Health insurance license.

John N. Fuller, CMFC®

John is Vice President and Director of Operations at Hooker & Holcombe Investment Advisors, Inc. He is responsible for client accounting and reporting, investment technology, and SEC compliance. John’s in-depth retirement plan background complements his current functions in his investment advisory role with HHIA.
Experience
John has been involved with HHIA operations in varying capacities since its inception.
He has played an integral role in designing internal processes and implementing
relationships with affiliated service providers. He began his pension career
at the Travelers Insurance Company in 1987 and then joined Hooker & Holcombe,
Inc. in 1989 as an analyst. John has worked with a wide variety of clients including
sponsors of corporate, municipal and church plans. In this role he served as
the lead analyst for some of our largest clients.
John’s extensive experience covers a wide range of pension related issues. He has provided services for defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, non-qualified plans and post-retirement welfare plans. John expertise includes Financial Accounting standards, cost accounting standards and asset liability modeling.
Education
John graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a B.A. in Mathematics.
He is a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor designee through the College For Financial
Planning. In addition, he holds the NASD Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses.
John is also a Level II Candidate in the CFA program.

Experience
Implementing new client engagements, team setup, and servicing multi-tiered client
projects are among Stu’s responsibilities.
Stu has worked in the retirement plan business for over 20 years. He has provided retirement plan assistance and consulting to large and midsize U.S. and foreign-based organizations, endowments, health care organizations and manufacturers.
As an investment consultant, his areas of expertise include:

Stu earned his degree in Chemistry from William Paterson University and did undergraduate
work at Rutgers University.
